Alvesta Living Group unveiled as the new name for Gatehouse Living Group

Alvesta Living Group (“the Group”) has been unveiled as the new name for Gatehouse Living Group.

Reflecting the new brand, Gatehouse Investment Management – the Group’s investment and asset management business – has become Alvesta Investment Management. Ascend, the Group’s residential letting and property management arm, will retain its existing name.

The new brand follows the acquisition of the Group by Apollo-managed funds in April 2026, providing a new, standalone identity and positioning the Group for future activity across new build-to-rent single-family rental (SFR) and wider living sectors in the UK.

Alvesta Living Group invests its own capital as well as working with third-party partners to establish, build and stabilise UK SFR platforms. Ascend will continue to undertake property management services for both Alvesta Living Group managed portfolios and those owned by external institutional investors.

Paul Stockwell, Chief Executive Officer of Alvesta Living Group, said: “This rebrand is a central part of our new chapter, reflecting the new ownership under Apollo and positioning the Group for future growth and success across UK living sectors. Alvesta Living Group will continue to be at the forefront of UK SFR investment, asset and property management, working with our own capital and that of third-party institutional partners to deliver platforms that unlock the opportunities within this hugely exciting sector.”

Alvesta Living Group is comprised of its investment arm, Alvesta Investment Management, and its property management business Ascend Properties. Together, the Group provides institutional investors with a vertically-integrated suite of operational services to manage new SFR housing. As a pioneer and leader of UK SFR, Alvesta Living Group has established five platforms, acquiring more than 5,000 homes nationwide, and successfully exited three in benchmark transactions. Through Ascend, the Group manages over 10,000 homes for both itself and third-party clients, more than 4,000 of which are operating under its resident-facing white-label Ascend Living brand.
